I have a problem.

I am new to the whole "detailing" thing. Don't get me wrong, I've always washed the truck, but that was about it. I'm not the best at it but I'm getting better. So here the deal. I had a tool box on my truck that was made for my old F250. It was to wide to secure so it moved around sometimes. When I opened the toolbox it would scratch the back of the truck without me knowing. So where should I start in fixing it. I've got the touch up paint form Ford. So what is my best plan of attack?

It looks like the scratch is through the clear and paint and into the primer. I think the only way to fix this is to take it to the body shop and have it fixed.

OUCH!!! You could use the touch-up but it won't be perfect. Only a paint job will make it look back to normal.

Thank you esf. That's exactly what I needed. I'll give it a go this weekend and see how it comes out. I'll post pics.
