Hey man...that black paint is beautiful.

Here's what Poli-Seal did for my black paint.
This is also poli only no wax.

esf is right, for the current price they are offering and the additional power I would buy the 7424XP over the G110 but, if I had to choose between the old and inferior 7424 and the G110 the G110 (bought mine last March and have over 50 hrs of use) wins hands down no matter how much esf hates on them.

Take your time on your purchases Fish...you will have plenty of time to spend all your money and free time on detailing.

Damn ! Both of your guys black rides look like they are dripping wet ! Just blacker than black !

Anyway, this is a LOT of info to take in. I'm kind of starting to lean towards just getting smaller sizes of some different glazes and wax, and seeing what works best for me, and my particular rides / paint.

Skaterbro, my Hyundai is that reddish orange metallic, and my F150 is Stone Green (which actually kind of shifts from dark brown, to more of rootbeer brown, with lots of gold metallic).

Anyway, thanks again. I've read all of these posts twice, and might read them all twice more before I order Probably a good thing I forgot to deposit some cash in my account tonight....

Peace,
Fish

Oh, so anyway.....

this is my latest cart. So much for the $240 limit This is the same reason my $1800 stereo cost $3500... and counting !
Oh well.

And yea'.... I think I'm pretty sold on the G110. I'm sure the PC brand is a good one too.

Anyway.....

Holy crap ! Now it won't even fit on 1 page ! {note; I decided on a 6 pk of pads.... but I'm still not getting any cutting pads, just 3 polish + 3 finish}

What do you think ?

Peace,
Fish

PS, You might notice the Showroom Restorer Black.... and you might be saying, "No, No, get Black Wow" ! Well, suffice it to say, I have a couple "special situations" in which I just have more confidence in a straight up dye.

I don't know if you realized this or not, but that G110 kit comes with a 12oz bottle of 205. The Hyperdressing is a great addition. I'd recommend picking up an empty spray bottle or two though. You can always just pick some up at HD or Lowes, too. I just like the Meg's HD bottles because they're labeled and have the dilution ratios on them.

Don't worry Fish, you're the only one here who though your budget meant something. Most of us have been through this stage before and know that your budget means nothing and that going over it is inevitable.

Hey ESF, thank you... yes, I had read that it came with 12oz of 205, which might not be enough. But 24oz should be, so I bumped the 32oz bottle down to one more 12 oz'er.

I have some good spray bottles, so I'm set there.

Thanks again,
Fish

Not sure about the M26 paste since you say,
"I don't have time to go over the whole car / truck, like 4 or 5 or 9 times like some guys do."
You can apply liquid to your entire truck in less than 10 minutes with a DA and a finishing pad.

Also you are taking a $40 hit for 300 less opm picking the G110 6500 opm over the 7424XP 6800 opm? Why?

Hey Old Dogg, not the M26 paste.... The liquid.

And BTW maybe 10 minutes for you. If I can go over the whole car or truck with "any" 1 product, in less than 1 hour, I'll feel pretty good about it

I can't see 300 rpm's making much of a difference. Looking at the value of the stuff that comes with the most basic kit and the G110, I don't see a $40 difference.
However, if you will please, provide me a direct link to the 7424xp that your saying will save me $40. I will look over actual costs with kit stuff.... difference in pad costs, etc. and will consider the 7424xp once more.

Peace,
Fish

Sorry Chris I was talking about the basic machine. You are right about the kit cost and 300 opm not making much difference. I just wanted to make sure you knew the price difference between the machines since I promoted the G110.

You will be shocked at the work and time savings the DA will give you. Applying liquid waxes, glazes and sealants will be a breeze....I must have been reading too fast and thinking M26 in the can.

You got your chit together. Carry on.
Good luck again.
We will be looking forward to before and after photo results.

Much better.

I would get rid of #7 and put nxt in it. NXt/21 and 26 are a great combo.

IMO 7's a little old school. It's loaded with oils and while it does help, it's not one of my favorite products. I've used it on SS with great results, though. All your choice though, i have tons of stuff i didn't care much for just sitting on my shelves

2 Questions for you

Why not use NXT 2.0 for Wax?

Why not use the 7" pads?

Also grab you a gallon of Shampoo Plus. You might as well, you've already exceeded $240, lol

Also I would try using M205 first on your truck b/c I'm pretty sure 105 will not be needed but its good to have on hand. I'm not sure what condition your paint is in b/c from your pictures its doesnt look bad off.

Hey guys, it's a done deal. Placed the order last night.

As for the NXT.... I've used that, by hand, in the paste form, and I just didn't care for it. It didn't seem to leave the finish as glassy slick, as other waxes I've used.

Man, I was going to ask if 7" pads would be better ? Oh well. Maybe next time.

But much thanks again for all you guys helpful advice. Very glad I asked.

Peace,
Fish

PS, "Nothing" on the truck first" ! The car is the test vehicle, and I'm pretty sure it will need a little bit of 105, at least in spots. But yes straight to the 205 on the truck > when I do get to the point I feel confident with the DA.

Congrats on the order Fish.

You should try putting down a coat of NXT wait 12 hours then follow it up with M26, it will look outstanding, it is one of my favorite combos!

One of my favorite combo's as well. Also Shampoo plus is the chit thanks to ESF recommendation. I was going to purchase Hyperwash over Shampoo plus and he recommended it and I love it. I placed another order with ADS this past Friday and Shampoo plus was in the order.

M21 2.0 is essentially the same stuff as NXT 2.0. I agree - use that instead of M07 and top with M26.
