Clayed, Waxed, detailed, now I get a film on the paint.
So,
I tried doing the right thing. I clayed the truck, I used a cleaner wax, then I used a paste wax. The truck looked great. I had never waxed it before and I bought it in 2004.
Before I would get the truck dirty then I'd take it to the car wash and spray off all the dirt.
Now after the detail job, I get it dirty and take it to the car wash and spray off all I can, but there is a dark colored film that remains and it cannot be sprayed off!!!
It's fairly faint but it can definitely be seen. I wan wipe it with one finger and it comes right off but it just won't spray off!!
What the hell? I used to have this same problem with a white Jeep I had once.
And this just started after the detail. What happened??

Sounds to me like you have a really thick coat of wax on the paint. The dirt will stick to the wax if it is to thick. Thus you can't spray it off but you can wipe it off. If you used paste wax and got a little carried away you could very easily not buff it enough and leave to much on the paint.
I would recommend you go get a liquid wax and try to rewash and wax the truck. 10-1 says you get a way better shine and no more sticking dirt.
