Did you let it dry on the truck? Did you do too big of a section?

Applying any wax too thick can make removal difficult. So can trying to remove it before its time. For example, NXT needs to be applied VERY THIN and allowed to set up thoroughly before removal - you do the whole truck, then go back and start removing it in the same panel order.

I made the over application mistake the first time I used NXT. I will never do that again.

What is the cheapest way/place to buy Isopropyl Alcohol in bulk?

I can get 2 quarts (IA)70% from BJ's Wholesale but it could\should be cheaper by the gallon? Most hardware stores sell denatured Alcohol by the gallon but that also seems too expensive?
Suggestions?

It's just rubbing alcohol. I got three 16 ounce bottles of it and only used one of them on my truck, without diluting it at all. I believe they cost right around a buck fifty a bottle at Walmart.

I get mine at CVS...but I get the 90%, its a better 1:1 if you do it that way. you can fill 2-3 spray bottles and a little goes a long way.

BTW, good to see you OD....I got your pm at the Cafe.

Careful.
Not sure if straight rubbing alcohol is good for the clear coat but...
You dont want to run a dirty rag over your paint so you gotta rinse and change rags frequently.

When I strip wax mixing it 50\50, (32oz's) I may have enough to do my hood rinsing frequently and not using the bottom third of the container im rinsing in.
I would rather waste ¼ of the solution than to scratch my paint or reintroduce contaminants.

Thanks RR!
I may be doing it wrong since I mix it in a quart container wipe it down and just frequently change microfiber towels.

Get the 91%, because 70% quite often has something like lanolin in it, which can leave its own film.
