There are quite a few products out there that will work. Here are just a couple that work well for some of the people on here.

Megs Hyperdressing
Black Wow
Aerospace 303

Not running in the rain limits it to two products that I know of:

BlackWOW
Meguiar's Ultimate Protectant

If you do Hyperdressing right it wont run in the rain. That is all I use and I have never had a problem.

have you looked past what you have posted? There currently three active threads addressing plastic rails, black plastic, black wow, etc., plus many that a search would produce.

UP runs? Figured it wouldn't since it's not water based, right? My friend hasn't had any running issues, but then again, his car is silver, so it might not show?

UP did a fantastic job on my soft tonneau because it soaks in. There's nothing to soak in on the bed rails. It's darn good stuff but everything has its limitations. I was told a good way to keep it from running after use on hard plastic may be to wipe it down with QD on a microfiber after application.

Aerospace 303 is my vote. This can be bought at any West marine store. Its made for boats. I have used it for years with no issues. It leaves armour products in the dust. Hope this helps.

That's the only way I could see HD not running as well, especially being a water based product. It shouldn't run on "regular" trim pieces, I guess you could call them, like the cowl and mirrors and such though.

I use Turtle Wax Ice Clear Liquid Polish. You can use it on Paint, Plastic and rubber molding surfaces. It goes on real easy, can be applied in direct sunlight and leaves an awesome shine on your paint and brightens all that black plastic and rubber moldings. I never put Armorall on that Black Plastic because I have found the Armorall fades it over time.
