Best way to remove snow
My truck sets outside alot and just recently there have been 2 snow storms and I was wondering what was the best way to get the snow off your truck with out hurting the paint (besides letting it melt).

Or corner hard! I had a slab from the hood going one direction and a slab from the bed cover going the other!

Hook up a hose to hot water. Or using cold water will work also, except it will take longer. Or, if you're in to a punishment thing for letting your truck stay out in the snow alone, breathe on it,and slowly it will melt.....

J-C,
Don't laugh, I have a friend that actually cleaned off his wife's 97 Taurus with a Snow Shovel. We were standing around by the car one day and I asked how the paint got scratched so badly. He suddenly got quiet and his wife then spoke up to give us the details. I didn't know whether to laugh at him or slap him in the head!
The best method I have found is to use a SOFT broom. I keep a good coat of wax on my truck and it usually pushes right off.
As far as leaving it on...Have you all ever been hit by flying ice chunks from the car in front of you because the @$$hole was too lazy to clean the crap off their car? I was driving my wife's car today and got a nasty scratch on the roof from this situation.

the 2 days of snow that we got here put 5-6 inches on the tonneau, I was hoping to take it all home to show my mom but it all slid off during the 40 mile trip.
I hate it when people don't clean off all there windows and assume that a small circle at there eye level is going to be enough visibility for them to navigate through traffic.

I have a fiberglass camper shell on my truck. To wash it I have a VERY soft split-tipped truck wash brush that I found at NAPA. It works GREAT for snow removal. After four years I have no swirls or scratches.

Now how to get the snow off the top of my truck is a different story ! Im 6ft 1 and don't have a chance of reaching the middle of the windshield..let alone the roof ! I think moving to the south in the answer !
