Question paint job

hey yall. i have an 88 f150 xcab and it is getting a new paint job. right now the truck is like a dark dull blue with surface rust and white spots on it. i am getting it painted midnight blue with xtra metallic. also, to match my black grill guard im building for it and my black bumper they are lining the outter top of the bed with somthing black. i mean you know how some trucks have chrome around the top of the bed? well that is what it is but not chrome. know what i mean? well anyways they also said it would look cool to put a black pinstripeon it. im not too sure about this though. how do yall think it would look with a pinstripe? and how do you think the black stuff will look? thanks!

Hey Awesome88,
The dark blue along with the black grill and lining sound good.
As far as the pinstriping (black).... I think it's too dark. As Indyfan previously stated, you won't really be able to see it against a dark blue background.
If you want pinstriping, you would probably want to pick a lighter color. So it can be seen against the dark background.
In my opinion, you really don't need any. I think a lighter color would clash too much with all the dark features of your truck.

Welcome aboard....

Pin stripe it the same as the interior color if at all. Black on my oxford white looks good and my interior is Medium Grey so it works.

You could also try a gray or slightly lighter blue. Also, make sure it's paint and not tape.

& a leeetle chrome tip on the exhaust.

Well.... I was think of telling him to try the tape first and if he liked it to have it redone later in paint. Difference is $20 for tape and $100+ for paint.
