Question Plastic/chrome scratch...can you fix it??

Ok...before you start to ask yourself after reading this post...yes, I have OCD!!! I've got a 2010 Lariat and somehow I've scratched the plastic/chrome trim that goes around the gear shift on the flow-through console. The scratches are really light and can't be felt when you run your finger over them. Is there anyway to polish this or will I just end up rubbing the chrome off? Thanks for the help...

I doubt you will be able to get it out - I have one in mine as well and have tried a few things without any luck. That particular piece is just simply a piece of plastic so there is no chrome to rub off.

Thanks...that's exactly what I figured!! I guess if it starts to bother me too much I can replace it!!! Maybe I'll buy 3 or 4 just in case...
