If that's the case, you didn't sand them enough. It's the sandpaper that does the heavy work. A drill has been plenty strong enough every time I've used the kit.

My I tried several headlight restoration kits but liked this one the best but now I just use M105, small pads and the DA. It's MUCH cheaper in the long run. I also find that sanding and then polishing the sanding marks is about as much work as just using the DA heavy cutting pads (4" maroon) and a final polish with white or black 4" pads but my fingers feel better & are cleaner when im done. I have a high speed, high torque drill but im worried about the vibrations breaking the element in the headlight bulb...again.

Good luck & be careful...the detailing rabbit hole is very deep.

Sweet deal dude. Im about to get a new 7424XP and some new pads to compliment it.

I sold my 3yr old PC7424 to my neighbor for $60 to replace it with the new XP model, looking forward to the advanced changes.
