Two posts in the same forum, identicly worded and approx. 30 minutes apart. That must be one hell of a scratch.

I feel your pain, scratchs on black paint really suck. My truck has several from branchs over the years.

To get any kind of meaningful advice here, you need to wash the truck then take pictures - and post the pictures. However, if you can feel the scratch with your fingernail, nothing short of a repaint will make it disappear. You might be able to lessen it somewhat, that's about it.

Not a problem, that happens occasionally.

How straight is this scccrrrraaatttchhhh ?

Would a 1 or 2 or 3 or 4 inch wide roll of tape cover it front to back and still be parallet with the lower rockers edge? If so, get reflective black tape and do a stripe for now and do the repaint after some more wear and tear and scccrrrraaatttchhhhes?

Looks black until headlights hit it?

Or do a flat black stripe ... like a "ghost stripe"?

Just sayin' ....
