If you use it wrong or long enough lube or not it will dull the smooth surface of the glass. IMHO...Thats not perfectly safe.
For hard water spots I would use a razor blade and vinegar or window cleaner before steel wool.

Jetech, do you work on Jets?
no more just retired from civil service worked on f-16s for the usaf and 22 yrs with united airlines now i just mess around with my truck

I worked on A-4s, F-4s, F14s, EA-6Bs & a few Helicopters models over 20 yrs with the Navy.
I was an electrician but I was an inspector and managed all sorts of associated departments.

Now I just mess with my truck as a hobby...the other family vehicles are a chore.

+15 years and don't miss the stress...I still do things I feel like for money self employed but I learned a well rounded wealth of knowledge on preventive maintenance and also learned many years of others experience and experiences written in dollars and blood plus my own experiences over a few decades.

Clean windows and grills

I live in Florida and two times a year we are beseiged with lovebugs, I have found dryer sheets take them off with ease. Just wet the sheet and windshield or grill or anywhere outside bugs are a problem.
