Didn't read your last line that you were going to clay this weekend. Good luck.

I have a black truck a black car and a black harley and all look like new. The most important thing to remember is whenever you wash your truck use a very soft cloth. I use something called cheese cloth or polishing cloth. I thrown it away as soon as it starts to get slightly dirty then use a fresh piece (it's cheaper than the labor required to remove scratches) and never touch the finish to dry it-------use a leaf blower. I may use a soft new towel to blot up a few pesky spots (wifey can't understand why I buy so many new towels) but remember when you touch the finish you are in effect sanding the clearcoat. I use Zymol wax and only apply and removce it in long back and forth motions. Rubbing is circles causes swirls. If you notice what looks like oily streaks from Zymol, let it dry a few more minutes---------it's the best.

Try the Blitz Wax. Creamy stuff. Excellent carnauba base. Goes on easy. Buffs out well. Shine is about 6 feet deep. I shop www.autofanatics.com. Check it out.

Thanks all. I didn't have to clay it afterall.
I just had to change waxes.
I am using Mother's Reflections polish after I use Mother's Carnuba wax.
It looks..or looked great until it rained last week.
Soft as a baby's a$$.
I appreciate all the tips. I used to detail cars...but they have alot better products out now-a-days. As for the "railrust" thing...it's too late anyway. I bought it in Sept. I've waxed it 3 times since. Oh well. It does have another paint defect, but that's another post.

Thanks again all.

If you don't know what nutritive oils are,I'm not telling you,LOL.... Look at the back of almost any wax,99 out of a 100,it has petroleum distillates in it. The Zymol wax
is a "real" wax. Most waxes now are just oil suspended in some sort of creme. In other words, your spreading oil all over your pride and joy This soaks into your paint, causing the shine. It keeps it from oxydizing and fading. Zymol just uses natural oils, instead of dyno oil. So in fact,
it is not really "crappola",as you put it. It stays on top of the paint, instead of soaking into it. ,,,,98

Cool

Take it from the PRO, I have used Zaino Products and nothing beats it. I first used the clay bar and used the Zaino waxes. Stuff works great, never been so happy.

The best thing ever, is LIQUID GLASS!!!! i tell you what, it is flame retardent too, but who cares about that!! it takes a while to put on, but it is so sweeeet!! it's the best i have ever used!! it's like 20 dollars, and is actually a liquid, and the more you put on the thicker it gets, it's like alomst a clear coat, i put it on my harley, too, and it's probably and 1/16 in thick!!! i mean, if your truck gets dusty, it just blows right off, when you drive it!! i can let my truck go for like 3 weeks without getting it dirty (in the summer of course) so give it a try, and it will be worth the money, time, and effort! good luck!!

Okay, this truck is the first clearcoat black I have had. It seems like if you look at it wrong it develops a scratch. While washing it the other t scratch free (besides park it?)

Thanks!
