First true exterior detail...

Tools:
Meguiar's clay and QD spray
PC7424xp
Uber 5.5" pads
M105 with Uber Green pads
M205 with uber Blue pads
NXT2.0 with Uber Black pads
Tape
Stoners glass cleaners/rainx
Megs tire dressing
NUNEROUS MF towels lol

First time with all this, the truck had nasty swirl marks but they are mostly gone. There are some uncorrectable areas but that is understandable with a 5 1/2 year old truck that hasn't been properly polished and waxed.

I'm happy with it. Haven't been able to use the M26 carnauba wax yet.

Before with the swirls in sight. At a distance too and you can clearly see the nasty swirls, and this was after a wash, and the reason I got all the detailing stuff. I was disgusted by this.

After the detail. I didn't really take any good before pics.

I hit my taillights too with 205 and 105 then Mother's plastic polish that I had removed a crap ton of tint off of previously. Really brightened them up.

I'm fat but not that short. lol

Ain't no helping this front clip without a repaint, but I detailed it anyway.

I haven't done the roof yet since nobody was home to help me get the lid off.

All in all for my first detail I think I did well. Did a few successful corrections that put a smile on my face. I won't have to kill a cat not (claw scratches).

Oh Lord, too long and really I'm really not done yet. I'd say minimum 12 hours of steady work over two days. I didn't even have any beers until I was done. :o

I look at it like if I take care of the finish I have now I won't have to do much if any correction after this, so the next time should be a breeze.

The last full detail I did took me a little over 20 hours and that was interior and exterior and that was a Tacoma. I am really not looking forward to my F350 this spring.

Lookin good Stealth! Really made a difference. There's a lot of metal on these things and seems like it takes forever to detail them. Never really noticed it until I got mine and waxed it. Big difference from the 96

I'm not happy with the front clip. Need to get the front bumper powdercoated. Then there would only be two parts that look terrible, not three. :o
