Cool

I hear you on the guys with the white coats. I was under my truck for a hour this past weekend pilishing my muffler, and all the pipes. No one will ever see it, but I know it is clean.

My wife thinks I'm nuts cause I wax the underside of my hood and the paint in the engine compartment. Hey, I spend a lot of time in there and I want it to be clean! Is that so crazy?

I then plan to clean everything under the truck and shhot some black paint or undercoating on the frame rails. My girlfriend thinks I love the truck more than her... what she doesn't know...lol. She tails me I am going to rub all the paint off one of these days.

Howdy!

Doesn't Armoralling the liner make it slippery?! What if she you wanna make sure she stays on all 4??

Have a slippery day.

My ride:

Basics:
- '99 XLT F-150

Under hood and back:
- Ram air (Don't ask me how )
- AiRaid intake
- Flowmaster DF 50 Series
- 24x3.5" Stainless steel slashed tips (Yes! Solid polished SS, no cheesy chrome-plated)
...

Outside:
- Precision polished billet grille and plate holders
- American Racing 17x8s polished Pythons (Flushed front AND back)
- Goodyear.. something tires (Expensive is all I know. LOL. No Firestone firecrackers for me either)
- Rhino liner
- Ford nerf bars
- Ford bed rails
...

Inside:
- My girlfriend!
...

Fun stuff:
- Dual sirens Black Widow alarm system/keyless entry (Enough decibels to go deaf in a garage )
- Custom driving lights (Just a cool blue)
- 2 High-Watt lights behind grille (For people who cut me off )
- Dual horns (For people who, again, cut me off)
- Dual wheel locks (So I won't be driving home on bricks!)

I read on here yesterday that some people use a leaf blower to dust pollen off their truck. I thought that was a cool idea. So last night I gave it a try. After I finished my wife came outside and asked what the hell I was doing. Then I noticed that my neighbor across the street was staring at me like I was an idiot.

and here I thought I was a freak! It's great to be accepted! LOL.
I admit...
I admit that I have crawled under my vehicle to wash off the exhaust pipes. Not just the tips, but the pipes, and the muffler.
I admit that I armor all the interior of the wheel wells, and upon rotating my tires will even wash and polish the inside of the wheels.
I admit that I have waxed the underside of my hood, and actually uninstalled my bug deflector to be able to clear the underside of the hood under the bug deflector, then reinstalled it.
I admit to washing the inside and outside of my windows at least once every other week, and cleaning all the interior trim at the same time.
I admit to waxing step bars and brush guards at the same time I'm waxing other things.
I admit to spending a whole day saturday detailing my vehicle - only to have it rain that night, then redo the whole thing the next day. LOL
I admit ot having scolded perfectly beautifal female friends simply because they placed a kleenix in the magazine storage thing in the door, they probably think Im a freak, LOL.

Now my explorer is an entirely different story... I haven't washed it since August of last year, interior trim pieces are falling apart and coming loose, it rides like crap, and the engine compartment is covered with about an inch of dust, LOL (ok I'm exagerating a bit, but it isn't nearly as clean as the truck). I was going to take it on a run a few weeks back... and I hosed it off to get it looking cleaner, LOL

Cool

Relax. The guys in the white coats are too busy cleaning and polishing the areas that no one sees in their trucks too.

Cool

Man you guys are nuts!
Just kidding

I am hoping to find the time to take care of the engine compartment.

Many times I tell myself that I will only wash my truck, but I end up spending over 2 hours polising, waxing and cleaning the interior.

I can tell just by looking at my truck if it is having a good day.

Dirty= truck having a bad day
Clean and shiny= truck has the biggest smile you can imagine.

A clean truck is a happy truck, keep up the obsessive compulsive benaivor.

Its now 11:31 pm and I am getting excited at the prospect of getting to wash it tomorrow. I would do it now if I could.

My truck was so happy a couple weeks ago, it received all of these things on the same weekend.
Wash, polish, and wax
interior cleaning
cleaned and re-oiled the K&N
oil change (only mobil 1)
fuel filter
Jacobs ignition installed
Jacbos plug wires installed
copper core sparkplugs
rotated the tires

Cool

At least you have never changed out the leds in the power acc. buttons on the doors I heard some did this so they would be blue instead of green. That is a little over the top to me.
I am guilty of everything else people have mentioned here, though, lol.
My neighbor looks at me a little strange when I armorall the engine compartment. Of course,he's a shovie driver and doesn't understand the pride factor in owning the best truck on the road,hehehe,,,,98
