Red face Paint descrepency on New truck

I have a 2001 XLT White. I just washed it for the first time (3 weeks old). As I was wiping it down I kept noticing very small (pin head size) speckles in the paint. It is all over the truck, even on the sides. You can actually feel them with your finger nail. I live in North Carolina (pine trees) and someone told me it "could" be the sap from the trees. I tried using Turtle Wax (bug, tar & tree sap remover) it didn't work. Has anybody ever seen this before? Is there something else I should try to remove these speckles? (lighter fluid?)

Cool

Sounds like clay bar time to me. It might have been caused by rail dust when it was transported.

The spec's...are they rust colored ????
if they are it is probably what they call
industrial fall out..comes from the brakes
on the rail cars used to transport new units
take it to your dealer...there is a tsb to
clean and polish

They are rust colored. Thanks for the tip. Do you know where I can find the TSB?

Check with your dealer...i believe the
tsb number is 99-10-02 or was it 99-02-10
something like that, your dealer should beable to find in in the Ford Oasis system
it is for 1999 but should be same for 2001
will warranty cover it ??? ask
