what is the best chrome cleaner to use to keep the chrome tip clean and shiney. it sure gets dirty fast. any suggestions on cleaning and keeping the shine?

I use some stuff called Flitz but I think just about any metal polish will work. As far as keeping it that way there's not much you can do considering where it's located. Anything you put on it to protect it (like waxes and such) is going to just burn off.

 

Mother's Mag polish works well for me on routine "maintenance" jobs.
If the surface requires some rejuvination, I'll grab the Wenol first (Blue tube;
if it's fairly messed up, then I grab the red tube first).

 

Since I had stainless tips put on,I just use the same thing I use on my wheels,Eagle one A2Z wheel cleaner. I'll bet your talking about chromed steel tips,though. On all my cars I've had with reg. steel chrome tips,I used an SOS pad. Very cheap,and works like a charm. It's amazing what they will remove without scratching the chrome! Use bug and tar remover to take off the road goo first(if you want) As far as keeping them shiny,you just have to keep cleaning them all the time,that's about all you can do,,,,98
