I have a 2001 F150, SCAB 4X4, with a Manf. date of 8/00. Manf. in Norfolk plant. Do I need to worry about door cracks?

Cool

From what I know Shorty. Any truck manuf. after april of 2000 has the upgraded doors. So no , you shouldn't have problems. We hope. I like to know that there are people that won't have this problem. I for one, am not that lucky. Good luck. Hope everything works out.

Thanks for the reply Ram Air. I feel a little better now. My brother bought a 98 F150 several months ago and he has the crack on both doors (out of warranty). He is still fighting with Ford to repair or replace. It would be nice if Ford would admit there is a design problem and make the necessary repairs to those trucks affected. Thanks again, and Good Luck

No problem, glad I could help. I'm still fighting with Ford about the cracks myself. It would be nice for Ford to come clean, but, I don't see it. They're too worried about the Firestone deal. Hope your brother gets his doors fixed. You could laugh at him and tell him,"Man, sucks to be you".LOL. Good luck with your truck Shorty. Talk to you later dude.
