Ford F430 Detail

Now that I have your attention.... I don't post much here but had to share this little jewel.

This project was a surprise for the owner by his wife and it had to be sneaked out of the garage and brought to me at 5:30 AM and back in its place by 11:30 am. I wasn't aware that I only had 5-6 hours with the car when I took the job.

So it was ONR'd in record time...then

Clayed using #34 and MEgs Blue Clay
Test was done with White Lake and Optimum Hyper Spray Polish.
It marred the hell out of the Ferrari soft paint.
Second test was with a MEgs Black Solo pad with Optimum Hyper Spray Polish.
(side note, My new poli seal is trashed and so is my Optimum Polish II. I guess the heat killed them)

The goal here was quickness and detail, not so much correction. I could have used 24 more hours on the paint it wasn't great but I did what I could given the quick turn around. My buddy worked on the engine bay and interior while I humped it on the outside.

Process was:
ONR
Clay/QD
Hyperdress wells
Optimum Tire Bond
Hyper Spray Polish, Black Solo Megs
2 Coats of Wet Obsession
Stoners on Glass
Plastix on rear tail corners to fix buffer burn from prior detailer (Who was fired today after delivery)
PB NLD on engine bay
BW on under carriage trim
Leather Masters Mild Cleaner for interior
Leather Masters Leather Vital
PB Leather Stuff
One Grand Glass Polish for etched water sports on side mirrors (hand polished with index finger...yes I typed that)
Folex used with LGM

I would say I was happy with the results and the owner seriously took one look and he took his phone out, called to fire the guy who has been taking care of his collection. I heard the call...it was kind of cool yet sad at the same time.

Ok enough.

After ONR at 6:15 am ish

this car wasn't bad but I could have done so much more to it given proper time.

This is after polish step...the wife and kids were up by this time (8 am)

Open bay, all dressed

Nice leather all around

Lots of $$ in the driveway today

Still makes my pants a little tight

Not bad

Only 2 passes

Had to drop the garage door to block the sun at 9 am

First look in the sun....really hurt the eyes

Great little quick project.

Thanks man....

To the rest of you...my point was to make you look! Sorry its not a Ford but I had to post this again. It's not everyday you get over 300K in cars in your garage.

Cheers
