claying concerns
so im claying my truck. this is after a nice dish soap wash to remove all waxes. anyway im using the meguris clay kit clay and QD. When i clay the truck i flipped the clay over to look at how much crud it was picking up. I noticed that the liquid droplets on the clay have the color of my paint in them.. is this a concern because it sure is concerning me.

Actually, this sounds weird, but in all likeliness, you should be fine. I'd of not used dish soap, but it would of removed the waxes at most. It would take some time to go through clear coat. I'd lay down a nice polish and some wax and call it done. For some reason I can remember a slight coloring when I clay too, but can't remember for sure.

Longtime reader, first time poster. (There has been such a wealth of info on this site I've had no need to post any questions so far)
Anyway, QD is blue in color and you did state that it was in the liquid droplets, not embedded in the clay itself.
You're using the Meg's kit. The clay is white, the QD (droplets) are blue and the contaminants are brown/gray/black....

yeah my truck is basically new, i bought it from the factory and its been treated well, garage kept. Never repainted. I just thought it was odd but knowing that QD is blue makes PERFECT sense! Thank you so much. I honestly dont know where id be without this forum.. probably washing with one bucket and stiff brissel brush wondering why i have paint swirls lol
