Remove Adheasive from front doors

I have an 00 f150 which had AVS vent visors on the drivers and passengers doors when i bought it a few years back. the passenger one had started to fall off, and the drivers one wasn't far behind so i removed both. I am now left with the remains of double sided tape (i guess not too sure what type of adheasive holds these visors on usually) all over my driver and passenger door. I have been trying to remove it but it doesn't come off too easy. Wondering what you guys would recomend to get this stuff off? I was planning on re installing the vent visors after i clean it all up with some new adheasive... Any recomendations would be great this stuff is a pain in the ### to get off.

If it is the 1/8 inch foam type tape you are talking about, and it is not extremely old, you can remove it easily by picking at a corner, and grabbing it and stretching it. You need to pull it almost directly in line away from where it came, not straight out, but along the paint. If its old and brittle, this won't work. You still may need a little adhesive remover, (or wax and grease remover), but the major bulk of it will be gone in a hurry. It also stretches easier the warmer it is. Park it in direct sun for an hour, or use a heat gun carefully.

Try a hair dryer or a heat gun to heat it up and it should wipe off with a rag or towel. If that doesn't work, then the 3m adhesive remover seems pretty popular and it should work.

Another vote for 3M Adhesive Remover. It works wonders.
