How much to PTM?

Since there is no paint section, I figured this would be the most appropriate place to ask.. Im debating on whether I should PTM my bumpers or just get an Iron Cross front replacement. How much should a reputable paint shop charge to PTM my chrome front and rear bumpers on my 2010 F150?

Probably 6-8 hours to R&R, prep, plus paint and materials at around $60-$100 a shop hour dpending on the shop. It's been a year since I have had anything painted so the hourly rate may have changed and it all depends on the shop I have seen some $50-$60 an hour shops produce amazing things and I have seen $100+ produce paint jobs I wouldn't put on a used to car to make it sell. Go talk to a few body shops and look at the work they put out and got talk to a couple car dealers if you have contacts in them because they normally farm the work out for there used cars. I am lucky because the ford dealer down the road has two great painters and they don't charge a lot.

You want to PTM perfectly good chrome bumpers?

I'ld get JY or other painted bumpers and paint or better yet .... "Line-X" them instead.

Your chrome won't chip, the PTM bumpers will show chips from gravel dings.

I want a more monochromatic look. Im going to be making everything thats chrome either red or black. Plus the XLT model lacks the useless plastic accesories that I hate. Just clean body lines.

Ick. That's going to be too much red. I'd do as suggested and find some other bumpers...and make them black if any color besides chrome.
