HD Cooling/Elect system
Recieved a call from the salesman I purchased my '01 F150 from. I ordered the truck with the HD cool/elec option. He said that vehicles built during a certain period of 01 with that option did not recieve the HD radiator. Someone must have caught them because Ford is contacting the effected owners and offering:
a check for $100.
a customer loyalty voucher for $500.( to be used by the end of the year)
the option of having the the std unit swapped for the specified HD unit.
If you purchased an '01 with this option check with local service dept to see if your vehicle is elegible. The offer of $100. is unacceptable. I am sure the new unit plus labor is worth far more.
