Question Waxes for deeper scratches

After all the hunting I do in the mesquites my truck is pretty scratched up. Some waxes take some of the minor scratches out but for those who know mesquite scratches, there pretty tough. Just wondering if anyone had any suggestions of waxes to use or any other tricks in getting my paint looking new...if not better.

It is with out a doubt the best POLISH on the market-tons of F150 online guys swear by it-do a search- My father shows his Vette and has used it for years. They are very laid back and will answer any questions you have-again his name is Sal

Zaino isn't the best ppl.

Get some Eagle one Scratch Remover. Just rub it on the scratch until it becomes dry and buff it off. It could take 3 or 4 applications because it is a very mild abrasive.

If the scratch is deeper try 3M's finesse-it II. After you are finish using it hit it with either Eagle one scratch remover or some swirl mark remover to help restore the shine.

For wax I suggest using Klasse with a carnauba topper like meguiars #24 or 3M show car wax paste.

Those waxes you are asking about that remove scratches have abrasives in them. It is better to use a polish or compound to remove the scratch and then apply a pure wax that doesn't have any polish in it.

Intel486 I said it was the best polish not the best wax-There is a difference. And I guess this would all boil down if the scratch was in the clearcoat or in the paint-If it is in the paint then it is difficult to come up with a quick solution

If you run your fingernail "across" the scratch and the scratch catches your nail it's probably too deep to try and polish out. Z5 won't do a thing for these and some of the other polishes will take out the finer scratches but not the deep ones.
