Exclamation Has anyone tried this????

I was wondering if anyone has removed those plastic black bed rail protectors. I would like to know what it would look like with them gone, anybody have any pics. Do yall know if anyone sells smooth ones, I really think that they are kind of tacky. Just curious.

My smooth painted rails on my last truck looked great until I got scratches on them...then the rail covers went right back on...

I kinda like the diamond brite ones....JMHO

if you take them off there will be alot of holes in the bed and tailgate where the clips were.

Flareside bed

If you want to see what the bed looks like without the rails...check out the pix here:

I had some work done on my truck and, as you can see, the rails cover a lot of holes

You might want to try street scene. In the April 2002 issue of Truckin' they have a supercrew that has their smooth bed and tailgate covers that look pretty sharp IMO. apparently they make them for 97-current year F-150's. Hope this helps.
