Wash/Wax Questions
I recently traded my '93 Ranger in for a 2002 F150 Flareside FX4. I've got a few wash & wax questions for you all.
I'm looking for a good soap that is most resistant to spotting (if one exists).
I'm looking for a quality wax, preferably that would come in colors or dry colorless to hide any future stone chips. The truck is solid toredor red with dark shadow gray wheel moldings.
I'd also like to know what you guys recommend to protect the plastic trim on the bumpers, steps, and the rubber weatherstripping. I've always like to use Formula 2001 on the tires as I've found it doesn't attract dust like Armor All.
Thanks,
Matt

What do you mean resistant to spotting? Like waterspots? Prowax's C-60 Super Car Wash does pretty well with preventing waterspots.
I don't really like those color'ed waxes.
For the rubber and trim you'll want something with an UV inhibitor like 303 Aerospace Protectant. It is mainly used by boaters so check out a boat supply store. I've seen it at West Marine.
