Question Rubbing alcohol and sap?

We own a 2001 Toyota 4Runner and there are quite a few spots of sap. Without thinking, I put straight rubbing alcohol on a cloth and removed several of the spots and then waxed over the areas with Zymol Cleaner/Wax. Is it okay to use rubbing alcohol for this? Will it harm the clear coat? Should I mix the alcohol with water?

Yhea, rubbing alcohol is fine to use on your paint. I use it to remove fillers from the paint to make sure I removed all the swirls.

Should I mix the rubbing alcohol with water or can I use straight alcohol? I hope it is okay to use straight alcohol as the sap came off nearly instantly.
