Question orange peel...problem in clear coat or base coat?
There's a lot of discussion on orange peel and I know what it looks like, but where does the problem really exist: In the base coat or the clear coat or both?

can be in either or both. With the way factory clear coats are applied, it is probably in both.

Don't disregard the primer as a possible source.
