Lightbulb

THIS may sould unhumane to some but i think it is better than poisoning the cats or hurthing them. What i do and did is bought a animal trap that catches the animals ( cats) when they enter the cage and then i take them a few miles up the road and let them live the rest of there lives away from my truck and home.
At this time i know of only 1 black cat that i have not got around to catching but i have not had a paw print on my truck for months.

Thumbs up

Have you guys that are SO fanatical about your paint ever considered a COVER???? My neighbor has three cats, and not one of them has ever set paw on my truck? And no, I don't want to cause them suffering just on the off chance they would jump up on it. I have seen one of them sleeping under the truck on several occaisions, maybe they have manners?? This neighbor also has 5 Chihuahuas, and they know better than to mess with the cats, LOL! These cats kill birds, rats, and all kinds of pests. They serve a great purpose keeping my house free of rats, and my paint free from bird poop. For these two reasons, I can forgive them for any transgressions. These are "real" cats, not your run of the mill fuzzballs.,,,,98

I found a pile of feathers, and even a squirells tail in my garage once when I came home from the road. These are the cats from hell, LOL!

Pellets will hurt the cat; however, BBs will sting just enough to get it's attention and let it know it's not welcome. It's amazing how you can teach neighborhood animals property lines with a BB gun.

I had a problem w/ a stray dog a couple of months ago. To make a long story short, animal control told my wife I could shoot a stray dog/cat w/ a BB gun all I want and it was fine. I just couldn't shoot it with a 'real gun' unless I felt either myself or my family was threatened.

My uncle still has a BB lodged under his skin from being shot with one by my dad. They were kids when it happened of course. After being hit once I decided not to carry on the family tradition of BB gun wars. ,,,,98

It doesn't just sting, LOL!

BB/Pellet guns are cheaper then a cover...

Plus the cat learns PROPER behavior with a BB/Pellet.

Cats are extremely intelligent. Some breeds like the Maine Coon Cat will actually follow you around from room to room just like a dog.
MY CATS NEVER GO OUT.
When you spend $500.00 to $1000.00 for a show quality purebred you don't let them run free.

Why would you spend that much money on a cat? It's a cat - if it dies, you throw it away and get another!

People around here have trouble giving them away!

There's only one way to find out

I think I see an experiment in the making...

I put forth the hypothesis that the price of a cat is NOT directly related to how it jumps when shot with a pellet, or BB, in the ***.

Some people can be such a$$es when it comes to animal rights...What ever happened to peoples rights. If someone loved their cat so much it would not be allowed to roam the neighborhood at will. When I invest my hard earned cash in a vehicle or a paint job, I don't expect some darn cat to come and use it as a scratching post or as a place to lay it's fuzzy butt. The animal gets one warning...after that...It's on!

I believe in animal rights but its hard to give a cat rights to walk on my hood! I just swat them after they jump down.

Personal experience Tip: If you see a cat sleeping on your hood or roof, dont scare them! They will try to take off like a bad outta hell, leaving lots of nail marks and tiny scratches. Gently remove them, then proceed to scare the chit outta them
