How does one go about removing the dealer sticker on the back tailgate, there is no way I am doing any advertising for my dealership?

 

Use a hair dryer to get it warm and then carefully peel it off.

Use Mineral Spirits on glue.

I can understand why you would want to take the sticker off if you bought it at Penetanguishene Ford.

Back in my musician days, we used to play a club there quite a bit, called.... "The Brule"

the Brule is actually called the brule live, it was called "Chicago North" for awhile and the even tried a topless waitress bar for awhile bu now it stays at the "brule live".

they had to take my dealer sticker off when they put my new HDf150 tailgate emblem on (cuz the 00hd's got a regular f150 logo on teh tgate for some reason ) then when they got the new emblem on, they asked me where i wanted them to put the new Ace Ford sticker on the tailgate. i just laughed and drove off
really cleans up the looks of the back of the truck with out it

 

You could have asked your dealer to NOT put it on. We did when we bought our 02 Expy. He was fine with it!

 

My truck was a demo so I was stuck with what I got the sticker was on it so off it comes.

 

There are lots of products. A hair dryer is a good place to start, then clean it up with goo-gone. Then protect with some wax.

 

WD-40 also works good on the glue
