Hey Mike with superchip distributors Have they or do you know when and if they have come out with the 1715 I believe that has the 4.2L V6 engine on it.

Thanks Mike

Hi Mike,

We got your email & Anita is responding to it with the details & pricing as you requested...........

No, the 1715 does not yet have the 4.2 V6 included - that's going to be probably 2-3 months at this point, and we're strictly guessing. Superchips is trying to decide on whether to add the 3.0 & 4.0 Rangers, or the 4.2 V6 F-150 as the next addition to the 1715, and of course we have requested and are lobbying for the 4.2 V6 F-150 - so we'll see what happens as it all unfolds - that's about the best I can tell you at this point.

However, for a number of 4.2 V6 owners they need to use the traditional Superchip module anyway, as once they do significant mods they will have to upgrade the fuel injectors - the stock 19# units are good up to about 250 HP or so, then you need bigger injectors which requires custom tuning - so if you think you're ever going to do anything more than an intake, exhaust, Superchips tuning & underdrive pulley (basically our Stage 1 kit for the 4.2 V6 F-150), you'll need to upgrade the injectors, thus the Superchip module is the way to go. Only you can decide on that, of course, so just keep that in mind in making your decision on whether to wait on the hopeful addition of the 4.2 V6 versus just going with the traditional Superchip.

Good luck & talk to you soon!
