Installed mine today, how do you know when it is clean, I mean what are you supposed to see silver, gold etc; can you scrape the contacts hard, I took it out three times.
Can I mess up my computer or something.
I live in ft.lauderdale fl. maybe I will take off a day and drive up there it is a three hour ride.

Two things I found when cleaning.

There will be a white haze on the contacts when using the green scrubby. When it is clean the haze is gone.

When installing the chip, remove it. There will be two very thin etched lines on each contact. I have good eyes, you might need something to see it better.

Joe,

If your truck started after installing your SuperChip, it's fine. It will either start or it won't.

Dear Joe,

As we spoke about, Superchips can usually get a damaged contact working again, in most cases. It's great that you're close enough to drive up to Superchips, you'll get a chance to see the place. They are *extremely* busy right now, as it's just after the annual SEMA trade show, so it's best to call and make an appointment with them.

Good luck, and let me know if I can be of assistance,
