Mike, can only get 104 octane

Saw you were visiting here today so I thought this would be a good way to let you know that I can not get the 106 octane, but do have 20 gallons of 104 octane in the garage as of last night.

Hi Marc,

OK - I'll re-do my instructions on the octane mixing for your Program 3 then - so now it will be based on 100 octane desired final level, adding 104 octane to 94 octane.

You rascal, you - it's only going to take about 1 more ride in that 18 PSI Cobra before I finally end up taking the plunge. It's sooo easy to get them into the 10's, making it harder & harder to keep the Lightning.

You running that astounding 11.39 (after a previous best of 11.65) in that '03 Cobra with just our intake kit, 4 PSI pulley (13 PSI), the tuning in that second chip, and the Magnaflow muffler setup you installed is shocking a lot of people. It'll be interesting to see just how close we can get to 10.99 with the additional boost & tuning, but still running thru the stock throttle body, elbow, exhaust manifolds, stock cats, etc.

Well Professor, if you give me what we discussed on the #3 "drag program" on the SCT 9100, and I can remember where 3rd gear is located, I will give you the 10.99 you desire.
You can take that to the bank......
You should have seen the look on the guys face that was in the other lane last week when we got back to the pits. He crawled under the car, into the truck, and looked under the seats for a bottle.

Hi Marc,

And in all candor & fairness, if I had been there and been in that same situation, meaning if I didn't know you or the car, I probably would have been looking for the nitrous bottle, too! That really was quite a pass, 11.39 with that level of mods is amazing - that takes not only raw power, but some good driving, too - job well done!

You know the old saying - if you're not red-lighting once in a while, you're not aggressive enough on the tree - and if you don't miss a shift once in awhile, you're not banging the gears aggressively enough! The 2-3 is always the hardest on those layouts - many guys have missed the occasional 2-3 on Mustangs, myself included. You're not alone by a *long* shot - been there, done that & I will do it again in the future too, no doubt.

I'll get a call in to you tomorrow (Friday), Marc - I know you called today, & I was swamped with other calls at the same time, my apologies - I'll talk to you tomorrow!
