Ordered my chip!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
#16
Mike,
I received your E-mail saying that my computer code (ATC2) is done so I placed my order last night using the online order form. Hope to get it before next weekend. Does the superchip remove the top speed limiter or is that only on specially programmed superchips? If my top speed limiter is removed then I guess I'll have to buy some new wheels and tires to take advantage of the added top speed. (hahaha)

Dear 2000regcab54,
Yes, the top speed limiter is already removed from the ATC2 code, I was told by Superchips over a month ago, and it could have been even longer, I don't remember exactly. The ATC2 code is so far the most common code for the 2000 5.4 in that configuration, so lots of guys are already using that Superchip.
They ('99&up 5.4 F-150's) can easily reach 125 mph and more with the Superchip, a cat-back, and a Aidaid kit, and I definitely don't recommend running those kinds of speeds with the factory tires!
Have fun, be careful, & thanks for your business!

ps398,
Go out and remove your computer and clean the contacts now. I did mine this afternoon (it is past midnight so it should read yesterday afternoon). It is easier to do a good job when the chip is miles away rather than sitting in front of you. I even opened up the PCM to check the terminals, it also made cleaning the terminals easier.
I can't wait for a real chip.... and the nice thing about it is that all I have to do is disconnect the NEG terminal and install the chip.
Regards

Hey, some of those Superchips guys wear those white lab coats, too!
Actually, JMC had a good suggestion, which was to take your time and clean the contacts good, when you don't have the chip staring you in the face urging you to be impatient.
Of course, JMC has done this before, so he knows exactly what he's doing, which others who haven't done this before don't know, until they get their Superchip and the installation instructions. With that in mind, here is the URL for the basic instructions on how to prepare your Ford ECU for the Superchip: www.superchips.com/fordinst.htm
I can't remember whether it's a .htm or a .html on the end, but that'll get you in the right direction.

Dear 2000regcab54,
If you ordered it on a Friday night, it would ship the following Monday, which is the next time UPS picks up shipments after the weekend.

I just ordered my chip and now I have to go through the waiting game like you guys did.
Waiting thru this weekend is going to be a killer. I guess I'll just clean my truck up and get my 10mm socket ready or maybe I'll run around town emptying the tank so I can go buy some 92 octane fuel. I could go out to the highway and get some crude performance stat's so after the installation I can compare.
Oh, I just can't decide. Maybe I'll do them all.
First time I ever wished a Monday would get here faster. Come on next Monday.

Dear REDONE,
Another point of view is that YAHOO!, at least you were able to order it, and soon you'll be enjoying it! And that beats wishing you could order it, anyday.
But seriously, thanks very much for your business, and have a great holiday season!

Dear 2000regcab54,
Shipping Ground to MI will take it 4-5 working days on average. I see you took JMC's advice and you've already prepped the computer's edge connector, good for you!
It won't be long now.............
