Tire Size Change/Flip Chip

Tire Size Change/Flip Chip
Hey guys,
I've had a flip chip for a couple years now and been really happy with it. I changed my stock ring and pinion from 3.31 to 3.73 and changed my tire size to 265/75/16, then got my chip for that combination.
I just received a nice set of Michelin LTX's I'd like to put on soon since my current tires are failry worn, but the new tires are 265/70/16's.
With that profile differnence do you think it's necessary to have my chip reprogrammed, or will it hurt to drive/tow with the tire size difference.
It seems to me that possibly my shift points and definitely my speedo will be effected, but I'd hate to screw anything up. Also, I'm certain my next tire purchase would be 265/75/16's again.
Thanks,
Tim

Refer to http://www.eunos.com/tirecalc/ This site will give you info on tire size. Your change will give you a 3.3% fast indication on your speedo. If your speedo says 60mph you will actually be going 58. I pesonally don't think that it is worth the $ to have the chip recalibrated.
