Franks & Beans- My '99 is a Work Series, therefore it had the argent XL grill. I fell in love w/ the body color (oxford white) honey-comb grill. I first saw it on a black Sport model (I think), but really, it's an XLT grill and surround.......Doc

Cool

I just went outside and tried it. That is a cool feature, and to think I just said today that I wished that my truck had the old analog odometer, that feature just changed my mind.

Red face

I tried it on my 2000 XLT. Very nice BUT!
Be advised that you will loose your trip mileage. Also upon first startup after trying out the nifty trick, the cluster behaves exactly as if you just reconnected the battery. I.e all gages check themselfes to full deflection along with all lights and odometer. This may mean that the CPU reset itself and has to go through it's drive and relearn cycle again.

Hey Nomo,

Great idea, this does deserve to be gone over again for the newbies.

Say, I also wanted to ask you about your URL for how you accessed your computer from under the hood, remember? Do you still have that up, or has it changed, etc.? A number of people have asked me about it, so I thought I'd ask you, if you don't mind.

TIA,

It's gone right now. But I'll put it back in just a little bit. How about the following URL:

It looks like my web host is having some problems with their FTP server. I'll get that info up as soon as possible.

The instructions are up at the following URL: http://members.visualcities.com/NoMo/superchip

The links back to my homepage don't work, but the pages for "installation" are fine.

I'll fix it all sometime in the near future. I've got to get pics of the new F150 up (and remove the ones of my old '93).
