thanks Neal, I think this works on more years than you thought. works on my 03 F-150 and my 08 F-150 and my buddies 06 F-350 diesel. Nice find. the menus are a little different though the years.

sweet ...just sitting here waiting to go to work.... i tried this earlier on my 08 couldnt get it to work so i figured it wouldnt work ...but i was doing it off just memory ...so got out the laptop and read it word for word while i did it....success love the tach feature...a little scared to mess with that other stuff ..ha

This thread was made in 1999, I doubt he was thinking about the future models yet to be made.

Most stock oil pressure sensors are junk.

Talk about old thread. Atleast it's informative, not complete junk like most are.

You said it sweeps the guages, Does that mean that if you take the guages apart that it will re-calibrate them? Like If I was to take the cluster apart to do the "LED Color Change mod" on the 99+ (have to scrape off green film on back of cluster) or do a guage face change (either one you would have to take the needles off the cluster) and be able to reset the guages so they work correctly?

Does this cause anyone to loose their trip odo? I want to try it, but I am a little hesitant.

No, everything returns to normal when you shut the engine off, and the trip odo will be correct.
