Smile Mods on Harley

I was wondering what modificatons i could put on my 2003 F-150 Harley Davidson that are not too expensive but would make a difference. i was also curious if any of these mods would void my warranty. Thanx

Well you could start with a cold air kit, or a drop in K@n filter. Pully, and chip is also a good bang for you buck mod. As far as the warrenty, ford can void your warrenty if the aftermarket part that you installed caused the defect.

Hi Brad,

You've got a very expensive supercharged engine there - the smart move is to work with a qualified Lightning/Harley performance specialist, so no mistakes are made that would harm the vehicle. We can help you with that.

Here are the Top 3 best bang-for-the-buck mods for your factory supercharged Harley truck specifically:

1.) Tuning - here I recommend having us to a custom tune in the new 9100 custom-tune capable Micro Tuner - you'll have 3 different custom tunes, set up just how you want, and gain about 30 HP.

2.) Get the restriction out of the air intake tract using the Air Force One intake kit, including the S/S power pipe. Figure an easy 15 HP from this, and it's the largest air filter element on any intake kit for the supercharged 5.4.

3.) Use a 4PSI-6PSI raised boost pulley - your tuning will need to be compensated for that, & we can take care of that when we do the custom tune. Power gains run anywhere from 18-24 HP, roughly.

Those 3 mods alone are going to get you anywhere from a low of about 55 more HP to as much as a 70 HP gain - that's at the flywheel, taking your 340 HP Harley up to anywhere from 395 HP to as much as 410 HP, approximately - just to give you a rough idea using a figure that is relative to how your truck's stock power rating is expressed. Those are *huge* gains for very small cost overall, one of the nice aspects of those factory-supercharged Lightnings & Harleys.

We can supply all of those parts, and far more as well - we can also make a nice package deal for you, if you like.

On the exhaust side, you're OK for now, as the factory Harley exhaust on the 2002 & 2003 supercharged Harleys is a true dual 2.5 inch system - so it's not nearly as important to upgrade that as it is on the non-supercharged F-150's. You can get by with the stock exhaust for some time, if you like. If and when you do decide to change it, we recommend using the Magnaflow setup, it gains the most power & is extremely high quality with a Lifetime warranty - an exhaust worthy of that beautiful $40K+ supercharged truck.

You might want to drop by our web site at www.TroyerPerformance.com - click on "Shop" once the home page loads, and then scroll down to where you see the "Performance Packages" section for the Lightnings & Harleys - there you will see everything from Stage 1 to Stage 5 packages, so you can read up on that type of info.

And of course, please feel free to give us a call to go over everything so you can make your decision from a fully informed position, & get the most for your performance dollars with safe mods that aren't going to harm the engine, etc.

Best of luck with your Harley!
