Hi SC,

If you're talking about a 1990 F-150 with a 5.0 V8 engine, I can help you there..............

In round numbers, figure that you're going to see roughly an 8%-10% increase in HP, and about 13% more torque from having a properly optimized powertrain program for the use of premium gasoline.

Now the exact amount of HP you gain is dependent upon just what that particular 5.0 was rated at stock, and what kind of shape it's in now. If memory serves, the 5.0's in the F-150's were rated anywhere from 185 HP to a bit over 200 HP, depending on model year - so a 10% gain would range anywhere from 18-20 HP or so, just to give you a rough idea. Figure torque gains at 30+ lbs./ft. on a healthy motor.

In terms of what that actually does for the *performance* of the vehicle, figure that on average, we see about a half-second off the 1/4 mile times - some a bit more, others a little bit less, but on average, about a half-second on those 5.0's.

What kind of shape the vehicle is in (age of 02 sensors, how many miles on the motor & it's timing chain, distributor & ignition system, etc.) makes a big difference in how well the vehicle responds to our tuning, of course. Some 1990 F-150's will be well cared for, with fresh sensors, an upgraded ignition system, etc., while others will be 150K mile motors with all original components, and everything in between - you know how that goes.

If you'd like to go over more specifics on this about your vehicle, please feel free to give us a call at our number listed below, we'll be happy to help you with that info.

Thanks for dropping by, & best of luck with your truck!
