Post Can't find PCM code

I've looked 3 times and I can only find 5 and 3 digit codes on the door sticker?!
From every thing i've seen here it's supposed to be a 4 digit code.
What's next?

Cool

Just in case you're looking in the wrong place - look between the two door hinges on the passenger door jamb. There is a small square sticker (black letters on white). In case you still can't find it - look on the computer itself. You may need to remove it completely to see, but the computer code should be on the casing.

3-letters, 1-number

Happy Hunting,

The code should also be on the plug in the engine compartment, passenger side.

Cool

And if the code isn't on the inside part of the computer, take the computer out and the number is written on another sticker on the side of female plug under the hood.

Hi Powerlifter405,

Welcome to F-150 Online!

OK, from that screen name, I gotta take a guess...is that the amount of weight you bench-press? If so, HOLY COW!!!!

I see by now you have found your computer code, ATC2, congratulations. That is for a 2000 Ford F-150 5.4 automatic.

Please don't hesitate to give us a call if you need further details, etc.

Good luck with your truck,

Spargo2, I see that we have the same factory config roughly.
How do you like your chip? I've been pondering the effectivness of them for some time, but since my wife got me a f-150 5.4 instead of a PSD, my performance stratagies have changed.

Mike, you are correct.
My "schooling" is coming to a close so i've been slacking lately. Shoulder injuries don't help either. Oh-well in time.
I tried contacting you today(sat) but your office was closed.
I'm interested to know something.
I've read on the F-D.com BBS that guys have had their superchip reflashed when going from say, 98-2000 PSD. Can that be done w/ these also. Can one code be reflashed into another?
Thanks.

HI Powerlifter,

Well, let's hope our shoulders do better. That is a tremendous amout of weight!

Yes, certain Superchips can be reflashed to another vehicle, for when you trade in, for example. The Powerstroke and V-10 Superchips use a different module design, so they cannot be used on any other Fords, and vice-versa, meaning a Superchip for an F-150 can never be reflashed for a Powerstroke diesel.

But let's say you had a 98 Powerstroke with a Superchip, and traded it in on a 2000, then yes, that Superchip could be reflashed to the new vheicle. And if you had one for say, a 1998 F-150, and traded in and got a 2000, then that Superchip could be reflashed to the new vehicle too.

Keep in mind that reflashing is not done free of charge in most cases. So if you want to buy one used, it *has* to match your vehicle's code, or by the time you pay to have it reflashed you could have purchased new and saved money. If a Superchip that comes from us needs to be reflashed to a different computer code within 6 months of original purchase, then we do that free of charge.

Please feel free to contact us directly for more details if you need to.

Have a good weekend,

Thumbs up

All I can say is Hell Yea!! Get the chip, you'll like it. If anything it's worth it just for the shifting changes. Gas is high here but there ain't no way that chip is coming out. The only problem is I can't keep my foot off the pedal. According to Mike there is no cure for it. Talk to Mike he'll take care of ya, he knows his $h*t.
Good Luck
