Gas mileage with lightning & Super Chip
Mike,
A while ago you asked how the Lightning does with a Super Chip. well I have almost 3000 miles on my Lightning now and I average about 12~13 in the city. I just took it on a 1000 mile trip and averaged 15.5 MPG with the best of 16.5.
Remember I had a 2000 F150 4X4 with a 5.4 and an automatic trans, it got in the city around 14 and on the Highway 16.5 average.
It suprised me that my 4X4 got better mileage.
Just thought I would let you know.

Good to hear from you!
And thanks for your gas mileage data, most Lightning owners don't even bother to figure their mileage, so we haven't been able to compile the gas mileage data on that vehicle like we have the "regular" F-150's.
I see you mention that you now have 3000 miles on your Lightning; you may notice that it improves a tad more in gas mileage as you accumulate somewhere between 4000 - 8000 miles, as it takes that long for most engines built over the past decade or so to fully loosen up and make their best power & mileage.
