one or the other. difference is the newer chips hold like 3-4 tunes and the tuner holds 3. the old chips only held 1 or 2. hope this answers your question.

Hi lenny2148,

AS Randy Watson kindly responded, you would use *either* the Micro Tuner *or* the chip - not both.

Your current chip is doing a fine job - if you'd like even *more* performance, our 4-bank custom tunes in the newer 4-bank (available in 1, 2, 3 or 4-program versions) or our new custom Micro Tuner will get you even more power and performance gains over what your present Superchip is doing. We're also doing a trade-in/trade-up program for those who have the blue single-bank Superchip modules in either single or dual-program versions.

If you'd like to go over the details, costs, see just exactly how much additional power and performance you would get in your truck over what your current Superchip is giving you, etc., give us a call at our number listed below when you get a chance & we'll be happy to go over that with you, so you can give it some thought.

Thanks for dropping by & good luck!

What difference in tunability is there between the 9100 and the 6600 chip?

Meaning does one alllow more programming parameters than the other?

re

Hey,

Before Mike tells you this, because it is probably comming the next time he posts,
Use the search button at the top of the screen and search 9100 or 6600 and you will see the countless threads about the same question you just asked.

This way, you can find any answers you want, and won't have to wait for anyone to respond.

Yes they offer the same tuning capabilities except with the tuner, you will be able to change things such as Tire Size speedometer corrections, and a few other things.

Try out the search button and see if that can answer any question you have.

Better yet, Search for Mike Troyer and then look for a thread entitled with the same or similar question that you just asked.

I for one, have read several posts about the same question you just asked.

Regards
Phatnav

HI MedVader,

PhatNav is right - you're best bet any time you want to know something in this section is to just use the Search feature. Anything you can think to ask has already been asked & answered here literally hundreds, if not thousands of times before already, so the info is always available instantly via the Search feature - you'll love it's ease of use & excellent search filters, etc.

Briefly............

There is no difference in terms of the tuning available between those two products - neither has any inherent "limitations" of what we can tune for, or change, in the PCM's program.

Drop by our web site at www.TroyerPerformance.com - click on "shop" once the home page loads, and then go into the Superchips Tuning section for FoMoCo vehicles, and there you will find detailed descriptions of the 6600 & 9100.

And of course, if you'd like to go over any of this in more detail, just give us a call at our number listed below & we'll be happy to.

Good luck!
