Nitrous and Tuning

Hi all-
I haven't completely decided yet whether im gonna run NX or not. But, i'm curious as to how well of a base tune I can get with the xcal2 by mailorder. I really don't like doing the mailorder when it comes to NX, superchargers, ect. But, I really like what I hear from Mike's customers. So, should I get a custom dyno tune, or go through mike. I need it as reliable as I can. I'm planning on maybe a 50 or 75 shot. 100 shot max. Oh yea, this is for a '05 5.4 3v. I'd appreciate any help.
Thanks.

Maybe I am wrong but the old 4.6 99-04 mustang gt's take 100 shot all day with know probs, 150 if you live your life one 1/4 mile at a time. Why wouldn't these trucks be able to run a 100 shot with the aluminum intakes.

To tell you the truth, I can't answer that question. I just want to be safe. I know the last 5.4s could handle a lot. I had mine supercharged for over 20k miles with no problems. I ran the hell out of that truck also.

Hi ORM,

What I suggest is doing the smart thing and calling us - this is far too involved to go over by typing it all out, my friend - so just give us a call at our number listed below.

Your application is not complicated at all, and there is a lot you should know about before you even buy any nitrous setup, etc. - we'll be happy to help you with all of that, so over all the various options, what's involved, etc.

Good luck & hope to speak with you sometime!

Hi Offroadmaniac,

Thanks for calling, we spent quite a bit of time on the phone going over everything!

Sounds like you had a lot of fun with your last truck, and this next one should be a lot of fun as well.

best of luck with everything, & talk to you again soon!
