I'm no expert, but M. Troyer has posted warnings here in the past about intake kits. If my memory serves, there are only two intake kits that are safe to use with the new truck styles and the new 5.4 3 valve engine. The one you mentioned was not in the list. Were I you, I would call MT immediately about this. He mentioned some kits causing a lean condition -- lean enough to damage the engine. But again, I'm no expert. I'd just encourage you to call the experts and find out for sure.

With *any* 2004 & up F-0150 using any aftermarket intake kit, you need to datalog the truck to test the A/F ratios.

the way we handle this is that we go ahead and do our tuning in the Calibrator 2 and send it out to you - you load it up, and then follow our simple instructions on how to datalog the vehicle with eh XCalibrator 2, and then send us that data so that we can make any adjustments if need be.

So we provide for those adjustments if need be, at no additional charge in our custom tuning package.

The K&N is an "OK" kit, there are kits that gain more power like the Air Force One or the Airaid units, but generally speaking K&N makes a decent quality product, so you haven't done bad there at all - don't worry about that!

The best thing to do is to give us a call & we can go over all of this with you in appropriate detail, so you'll have a thorough understanding of exactly how we do this - but the bottom lien is don't worry, we can tune your vehicle for that K&N intake kit,no problem.

Have fun & talk to you soon!
