Who had told you that it isn't available for the 4.6? The manual comes right from Edge if it was a member here who said it wasn't (assuming it wasn't a member that works for Edge) then you have no idea where their info came from. Just like in elementary school and you played that telephone game, info get's a little bit scewed through each person it passes. I would trust the manual. So far I've only seen one website saying it was only available for the 5.4 while all of the rest said 5.4 and 4.6. As always though, if you want to be 100% sure before laying down your cash, wait for them to pick up the phone.

 

I was trying to buy from SoCalMotorSports, and he said he would match any price. He called to verify if the unit was compatible with the 4.6 and he said the tech said, "no". I read the manual too, I know, it says 4.6 and 5.4. So, I went to Totally Custom Trucks website, and the guy named Andy said the same thing, "no"

 

Interesting....Well I'm glad I have the 5.4 then since my Edge should be here tomorrow.

 

Let me know how it works. I also, talked to a fellow member here "Asinatra" and it will for my application in having a 4.6, but not all PCM files are supported. I hope they do some updates soon then, because I'm planning on getting one. The cheapest I've seen is 365.00 shipped. How much did you get yours for? So, the edge for an '02 5.4 doesn't have a display??? Or am just reading this wrong?

Never mind. I went back and looked closer at both. I see the difference now. That sucks!! I really like the idea of the display monitor in-cab. Oh well...

Awesome so far. I Haven't been able to test it out too much because we just got a dump of snow a couple days ago but I did manage to do a couple of good WOT runs just to test. I'm on the tow tune because I still have 87 in the tank and have left the settings alone for now. I did one 0-60 run and with a little tire spin it was exactly 7.5 (remember stock tow tune,). Haven't done a 1/4 mile as I live in a valley surrounded by mountains and there really is only one spot to do it, that's on the other side of town and was to lazy to drive over there.
Apart from those personal experiences the rest is pretty much the same as what everyone else is saying, improved throttle response, shifting...etc, etc. Oh, and perdy gauges.

Performancediesel also said they had some great deals on Banks Power for the 04-06 F150 as well. The guy seemed very on the level and I got the impression that they are solid people to work with at great prices... might be worth adding to favorites for parts.
