Angry AF1 missing parts upon arrival

This is SO disappointing. I had to wait for the AF1 due to backorder. Then when it finally gets here, all I can do is LOOK at it!

Has anyone else had parts missing for the AF1?

I guess it's supposed to have two breather hoses that aren't in there.

Having to stare at it is going to be worse than waiting for it to get here.

Sorry guys, just had to vent. I guess I'll go back out and put my tools away.

4.6 or 5.4 ???
5.4 don't come with breather hoses.... it only has one and uses the stock hose, 4.6 I can't help you, never even looked at or drove one at the dealer...

My kit was missing the 1/8 seal that goes in the round cutout of the heatshield. I called them and they sent me one, no problem.

Other than instructions that aren't really complete (why isn't the support bracket bolt stackup better explained?), everything went smoothly with my kit and installation.

Call Everett at AF1 and explain your problem. He'll take care of you.

BTW, I received and installed mine this past January.

It's a 5.4
The instructions don't say anything about the 5.4 NOT having them. The parts list says they shouls be there, and the coupling has a spot for both of them to connect. It sure seems like they should be there.

I'm lost on what you are talking about.... got a pic.???

mind is a 2005 5.4 one tube on one side (Factory breather tube) mass air on the other side..... look close at my pic, you can see the tube.... unless they have changed something....

Thumbs up

I got my Airforce One intake kit yesterday and thought the same thing and called Troyer Performance and they contacted the Manufacturer and the 5.4 doesn't need the breather hoses and uses the existing breather hoses already on the truck.

F150Truck'in, maybe the difference is the old motor vs. the new motor.

GoldSuperCrew, Thanks. That makes me feel better. I guess I'll just put it on tonight then.

I have the 2003 5.4 mine came with the boot that had two breather openings that attached to the throttle body and the two hoses that I pulled off from the old boot hooked right up

Anyway i'm sure AF1 will take care of the problem....
I didn't think this was the 2004-2006 forum. I thought that this was for ALL F-150's.

Hi Gonecampin,

Sorry to hear you had a problem!

If that kit was ordered from us, all you need to do is call us & we get that kind of thing taken care of right away - if you ordered it elsewhere, then you'll need to deal with your vendor, or you can call AF1 directly.

We are their oldest & largest distributor, and did the R&D on some of their kits, so we have a very close relationship with them. Those kits are in heavy demand, so they did get a bit behind on them - we order them by the hundreds, but even we sometimes run out!

And yes, there is a difference between the 1997-2003 5'4 2V kit and the 2004 & up 5.4 3V kits.

Good luck with this, and if it came from us, please do give us a call if you have any problems, OK?

I know know why, that would be a question to ask Steve (webmaster)
anyway, don't get me wrong, just understand when you get misleading info...
Ummm....this isn't a part of the 2004 & Up thread......Chips, Tuners & Programming is for ALL F-150's. I think you are the one wrong here.
