Could you rephrase that for the advanced class.

What the hell are those pics about?

But shouldn't the advanced class be able to figure it all out?

WanaB,

You can damage your truck without a tuner if that's the way you like to drive. Will a tuner damage your truck? Absolutely not. Is it harder on your transmission? On the contrary, your transmission will last longer with the new tuner characteristics. The tuner will remove some of the designed slip that is programmed into automatic transmissions in order to make them shift smoother. In an automatic transmission, slip= wear & heat= damage. What should I get? In my opinion, an XCal2 from www.troyerperformance.com. What can you expect? A noticeable difference in the performance of your truck.

WanaB,

Click the link on your posted pics and I think you will understand what rutherk was asking about. When I click the link I get a picture of a bunch of faces on a poster.

Hi WanaBLightning,

There are tens of thousand of people here who have the same basic truck you do, and you don't see any pattern of posts here from them complaining that our tuning hurt their vehicle - it's a complete myth that *proper* tuning will shorten the lifespan of your drivetrain - in fact, it's just the opposite as was pointed out. The transmission tends to live longer thanks to vastly reduced slippage.

In terms of what gets you the best actual results, that is our Troyer Performance *custom* tuning, as we have specialized in tuning the F-150 platform linger than anyone else, 14+ years - and we are well known for your results.

We provide a set of 3 different custom tunes set up for whoever each individual vehicle owner needs, and deliver them in the most advanced tuner available, the XCalibrator 2 - which also includes full diagnostics as well as the fastest datalogger on the market, which is why we use that it to deliver our custom tuning.

Your truck will have not only more peak power, but it will have more power all the time, at any throttle position, and at any rpm - as well as much better overall driveability, batter transmission shifting, top speed limiter removed, and many other things.

If you'd like to go over this in more detail, please feel free to give us a call at our number listed below & we'll be happy to help!

Thanks for your post, & best of luck whatever you decide!
