Ordered the 3.25 AF1 and XCal2 Today!

Hey Guys,

Well you probably thought it'd never happen in your life time but I ordered the 3.25 AF1 and XCal2 today from TP. That's right, indecisive, question asking, reason to not buy thinking, me ordered those parts today! They'll go out in the mail tomorrow as we'll need to read the code on my truck and then it should take 4 - 5 weeks to email me the tunes. I was expecting that to be the turn around time as there is a lot of work that goes into this, but secretly I was a little bummed as I really wanted to install all of this on my birthday (October 18th).

Oh well, you can't have your cake and eat it too.

Thanks again everyone for your help! Be looking for a thread about the dyno results in the next month or two.

Here are the tunes I picked:

87 perf
87 tow
91 perf (I haven't really seen a lot of stations with 93 around here in MN, so I went with 91)

Yeah, baby !!!

Hey Duke;

Let me be the first to congratulate you on an excellent choice !

Now you need to concentrate on something else for a month or so... and bone up on the datalogging instructions .

And, if you don't like the tunes I'll buy you a brew - ( you might have a little difficulty collecting, though ).

And ~ HAPPY BIRTHDAY ~ !!!

Cheers
Bubba

Congrats bud. As much as you and I have PM'd about this in the past, I thought I would've pulled you in before now. LOL! I need to stay out of the sales game I guess...

Anyway, congrats! This will be a VERY nice addition to your already SWEET truck. You're going to love this upgrade!!! Trust me...

Haha, thanks bud! I'm just a hard sell I guess. I'm looking forward too it and can't wait to read all the directions so I can make sure I have a flawless installation of the AF1 and then an easy time with the datalogging and dyno (both which I'm very nervous about).

It sounds as if your tune is fairly simple as is mine, but we still have to wait for what seems like forever and day. Every time I check my email, I get a little bit more disappointed.

Excellent choice Duke...this setup made my truck a different truck in terms of "get up and go"...it'll be money well spent...

The fact that I'd have to pay twice a year to have the tire size changed from my OEM tires in the winter to my aftermarket tires in the summer eventually made me go for it. Sure it isn't the most cost effective way to change the speed-o-meter, but it was an excuse.

I'm down in Stillwater, Minnesota. Though I go up to the North Shore quite a bit during different parts of the year.

Yay Duke!

Edit: Wow, after spending seven years at NC State University I never thought I'd say those two words together! Yay Wolfpack!

haha, thanks fellas.

Contrary to popular belief the "Duke" in my screen name refers to John Wayne "The Duke" rather than the college. Though I do find myself sometime cheering for them when on TV.

HOLY COW, these forms are very detailed.

What do the spark plugs look like? (Circle all that apply)
White Black Tan Detonation Melted
Explain everything circled

So I have to pull one of my spark plugs to look at them? I have no idea how to do that...and what if one of them breaks off in the block and then I'm in big trouble.

I mean the truck only has 20,000 miles on it, so can I just assume they're white?

I'd call but I'm at work right now and can't get on the phone.

I think it's bad if they are white... but I might be mistaken.

oh...see I'll have to call because I have no idea what to look for here. I REALLY don't want to buy the tools to pull my plugs and then have one break off on me.
