Ive got a 2002 5.4 lifted with gears and 35's. lookin for more power i know about the troyer stuff but i mean im in a lifted truck. i dont need to go that fast. so which one would be better in my case i have afe stage 2 magnaflow and a bbk throttle body.

 

I know nothing about Hypertech, but I love my Edge, would not trade it.

 

I have read several posts in the past from people who ditched their Hypertech for EDGE and loved the improvements the EDGE made. If you search you can probably pull them up.

 

I would reccomend the edge. Right now I have a hypertech and don't like it that much for several reasons 1) takes 30 min to tune. 2) not much power
3) not many options. I savin for an Edge myself right now. the main reason I'm getting one is for the gauges so that when I tow my trailer I'll know what is going on with my truck!

 

I did the same as you. I bought the Hypertech (41043) at first do to having one in my 02 4.6L, it did give the 02 more power. Funny it didn't help with power in my new 5.4 the same. I sold mine on ebay and got 200 back out of it after paying 285, but I saved on buying my Edge used for 235.

 

i just got the edge for x-mas it is amazing difference in power and the tranny. i had a hypertech on my ram hemi and it sucked, did'nt feel a drop of difference.
