I have a buddy that is looking at a 2005 F-150 with oversized wheels and tires and the current owner has the Edge device on it. My buddy test drove the truck and half way through the test drive the truck got put in a fail safe mode (says owner) and he cna't get it out of the mode. Any of this make sense? If so what can he do to fix this problem>

 

Well, have you tried to return the truck back to stock? If yes, and the wrench is still there and it's in limp mode....it's not an Edge problem. The first thing I'd do is use the Edge to pull the codes that the computer is throwing to determine if it is indeed an Edge problem or not.
