EDGE on 07's

Does anyone else have an 07' F-150 and an EDGE? Were you able to install the unit on your truck, or did it tell you that the calibration was not supported. I've had my 07' for a month now, and I tried to install my EDGE on day one, thats when I found out that my calibration wasn't supported. I tried to update my unit and I allready had the latest updates, so I e-mailed Edge on three separate occassions and all they could tell me was they were working on it, be patient. WTF? I was just curious if anyone else had the same problem, or am I the only one with a $350 paper weight?

If you have any questions, give edge a call. They will answer your Q's.

Each time a new calibration for the PCM is released, EDGE has to write code for it. The programming for these trucks does not allow for a one size fits all type of program.

Hopefully you will have it soon. I know you will enjoy it and it is worth the wait. At least you can use the guage package for now.

Just be patient, and good luck.

My hex code is RXDG3BA.HEX It's been over a month now with no update for my truck, I'm about ready to ditch my EDGE and get an X-CAL 2 from Troyer.

Hi.

There is honestly NO reason for this delay except lack of will.

The code is readily available to the tuners for the asking.

You would think that the integration with MSD would have improved the timeliness of updates, customer service, competency of the tech support staff, and availability of bug fixes... doesn't look like it, though.

Not good.

My advice - flog it in the Classifieds if you can, & go for a TP-tuned Xcal2.

Good luck.

Cheers (Nature's beer fridge - my back deck !)

Well, after some thought, I have decided to put my EDGE up for sale in the classifieds. If it sells then I will put the extra to it and buy an X-CAL II from Troyer.

I think that the guys at Edge are really dropping the ball on this subject. My guess is that it is the all too common situation where management is pushing volume, volume, volume.............without adding needed support. My guess is that they are too busy trying to get new tuners out that will work for the other brand gasoline trucks (chevy, dodge, toyota, etc.) and that there is not enough resources left to manage their current product lines. It seems that there was great support when it was early in it's release.........but now........new updates have been few and far between. Hopefully they will get their act together and fix what problems there are.

You're probably right, I remember when the EGDE first came out, they would jump all over a problem and get it taken care as soon as possible. Thier technicians and engineers even posted on this board to help users who had problems. Now thier tech support is like any other company that is too big for thier own good, pretty much non-existant.

When I look at Edge's website, it still doesn't list '07 as an option for the Ford Triton engine. I contacted Edge before Christmas about the '07's and I was told they haven't done the programming for them yet and probably won't get to it until March or so. Although he did tell me that if I supplied them with the hex code, he may be able to help me. That was my experiance and they answered my email the same day.
So how do all these people have Edge's for '07's if they don't seem to be available yet? Are they being bought for '06's & hoping they'll work?

Well, in my case, I used to have an 05' and had my EDGE on it. In January I traded in my 05' for an 07' (my lease was up) and transferred the EDGE over to the new truck. I've been waiting for over a month now for an update and now I'm tired of waiting so it's up for sale now (the EDGE not the truck)

Well, I placed my order with Troyer yesterday, I ordered a custom tuned X-CAL 2 and an AIR FORCE 1 3.5 combo. Got home from work this morning, and found out that EDGE finally has an update for my truck. So,I will try it out and see how well it works, and if it's workable, I will run the EDGE until I get my X-CAL 2
